Choose the light and background for your session

A studio session lets us shape the mood of your photographs precisely. Broncolor flashes and light modifiers give us control over the light, while white, black, grey, blue or orange paper backdrops and a tobacco-brown canvas offer different atmospheres. We choose them to suit your project and the result you have in mind.

524 rue Vanderkindere, 1180 Uccle, in the Bascule district · in the immediate vicinity of Chaussée de Waterloo and Avenue Brugmann. Nearest STIB stop: Bascule (trams 7, 4, 10, 92 and bus 38, 1-3 min walk). Vanderkindere stop as an alternative depending on your route (~10 min). Q-Park Bascule less than 100 m, several entrances (Chaussée de Waterloo 715, rue Stanley 56, rue Vanderkindere 550). Regulated on-street parking (Yellowbrick apps, 4411, Seety, EasyPark). Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. · Sunday closed.

  • How much does a studio session cost in Brussels?
    At the studio, Essential Portrait costs €290 incl. VAT for 1 to 2 people and Signature Portrait €490 incl. VAT for 1 to 4 people. Outdoors in Brussels, the supplement is €100 incl. VAT. The price includes the session, final selection on site, retouching, private online gallery and personal usage rights.
  • How long does a studio session last?
    Essential Portrait lasts 45 min and Signature Portrait 1h30. The final on-site selection is included in these times.
  • How many photos will I receive?
    You receive 5 photographs with Essential Portrait or 10 with Signature Portrait, each in your choice of colour or black and white, delivered in high resolution through a private gallery. Every photograph is carefully edited. Each additional photograph costs €50 incl. VAT, in your choice of colour or black and white.
  • How do payment and cancellation work?
    No deposit is required for these private sessions, regardless of when you book: payment is due in full on the day. Cancellation or rescheduling is free up to and including exactly 24 hours before the session. With less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not attend, no amount is charged automatically. Reasonable compensation may only be requested for direct loss actually demonstrated, after deducting any savings and taking account of any rebooking of the slot. Cases of force majeure are considered individually.
  • Where does the session take place?
    Your session can take place at Hani Kanaftchian's studio in Uccle (Rue Vanderkindere 524), or outdoors in Brussels for an additional €100 incl. VAT. We choose the location together before the session.
  • Do you offer gift vouchers?
    Yes. Order your voucher on the Gift voucher page, then choose Essential Portrait · €290, Signature Portrait · €490 or The Experience · Studio & outdoors · €990. These titles are benchmarks of value; the recipient is free to choose their session. Payment is made via Stripe (card or Bancontact) and the personalized PDF generally arrives by email within a few minutes after confirmation. To use it, the beneficiary writes to me before booking indicating their code; I check the voucher and directly confirm the appointment and the amount applied. The online calendar does not automatically apply gift codes. The voucher is valid for 12 months; an extension can be granted on request before the deadline, subject to my agreement, for a maximum of 6 months. A consumer can in principle withdraw within 14 days, by simple email. After this period, the voucher is neither refundable nor convertible into cash, unless otherwise required. If it has already been used within 14 days, the consequences depend on the state of execution and the consents given; see the T&Cs.
  • What should we arrange if someone has limited mobility?
    Contact me before booking so we can plan your arrival and the session. The studio is on the ground floor, with a small step of about 10 cm at the entrance; the toilets are reached by an internal staircase. Depending on your needs, we will check together whether the studio is suitable or whether another location would work better.
