Maternity session

A caring approach

Pregnancy changes how you feel about your body, and being in front of a camera is not always easy. I create a reassuring space, give you time and offer guidance without pressure. The studio is heated and has a private changing area. You can bring different outfits: long dresses, lingerie, draped fabrics or everyday clothes. You choose what feels right.

The right time

I recommend planning the session around the 7th month of pregnancy. We adapt the date and the pace to your comfort, your energy and your wishes. The session lasts about 1 hour 30 minutes, with the time needed for breaks.

Extend the experience

Many mothers follow their maternity session with newborn photographs within 10 to 15 days of the birth, or a family session a few months later. Combined packages are available at preferential rates. We can talk about them during our first conversation.

  • How much does a maternity session cost in Brussels?
    The price is €490 incl. VAT at the studio. Outdoors in Brussels, it is €590 incl. VAT, or an extra €100. The price includes the session, the final selection on site, the retouching, the private online gallery and the rights of personal use.
  • How long does a maternity session last?
    The maternity session lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. This includes the shoot and your final selection on site. The session is designed for 1 to 4 people, with 1 to 3 outfits.
  • How many photos will I receive?
    You receive 10 final photographs in high resolution through a private gallery, each in your choice of colour or black and white. Every image is carefully edited. Each additional photograph costs €50 incl. VAT, in your choice of colour or black and white.
  • How do payment and cancellation work?
    No deposit is required for these private sessions, regardless of when you book: payment is due in full on the day. Cancellation or rescheduling is free up to and including exactly 24 hours before the session. With less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not attend, no amount is charged automatically. Reasonable compensation may only be requested for direct loss actually demonstrated, after deducting any savings and taking account of any rebooking of the slot. Cases of force majeure are considered individually.
  • Where does the session take place?
    Your session can take place at Hani Kanaftchian's studio in Uccle (Rue Vanderkindere 524), or outdoors in Brussels for an additional €100 incl. VAT. We choose the location together before the session.
  • Do you offer gift vouchers?
    Yes. Order your voucher on the Gift voucher page, then choose Essential Portrait · €290, Signature Portrait · €490 or The Experience · Studio & outdoors · €990. These titles are benchmarks of value; the recipient is free to choose their session. Payment is made via Stripe (card or Bancontact) and the personalized PDF generally arrives by email within a few minutes after confirmation. To use it, the beneficiary writes to me before booking indicating their code; I check the voucher and directly confirm the appointment and the amount applied. The online calendar does not automatically apply gift codes. The voucher is valid for 12 months; an extension can be granted on request before the deadline, subject to my agreement, for a maximum of 6 months. A consumer can in principle withdraw within 14 days, by simple email. After this period, the voucher is neither refundable nor convertible into cash, unless otherwise required. If it has already been used within 14 days, the consequences depend on the state of execution and the consents given; see the T&Cs.
