A personalized approach

Before the session, send me a few references and tell me what you want to express: a simple portrait, a more artistic series or different sides of your personality. We plan the lighting, backdrop and outfits to keep the images consistent. Also explain how you will use them: personal use and professional communication call for different packages and usage rights.

Building confidence

You do not need to know how to pose for a portrait session. I guide you with simple suggestions for your hands, gaze and posture. We take time to talk and find expressions that feel like you.

Choosing your portrait session

Essential Portrait includes 45 minutes and 5 retouched photos for 1 to 2 people. Signature Portrait includes 90 minutes and 10 photos for 1 to 4 people, with more time to explore different moods. Both sessions include your final photo selection on site within the stated duration. Choose according to your project and the number of images you would like.

The result

You choose your final photos on site, each in colour or black and white. Your retouched images are delivered within 7 to 10 days in a private gallery, in several formats for personal use. Each additional photograph costs €50 incl. VAT, delivered in your choice of colour or black and white.

  • How much does a premium portrait session cost in Brussels?
    At the studio, Essential Portrait costs €290 incl. VAT for 1 to 2 people and Signature Portrait €490 incl. VAT for 1 to 4 people. Outdoors in Brussels, the supplement is €100 incl. VAT. The price includes the session, final selection on site, retouching, private online gallery and personal usage rights.
  • How long does a premium portrait session last?
    Essential Portrait lasts 45 min and Signature Portrait 1h30. The final on-site selection is included in these times.
  • How many photos will I receive?
    You receive 5 photographs with Essential Portrait or 10 with Signature Portrait, each in your choice of colour or black and white, delivered in high resolution through a private gallery. Every photograph is carefully edited. Each additional photograph costs €50 incl. VAT, in your choice of colour or black and white.
  • How do payment and cancellation work?
    No deposit is required for these private sessions, regardless of when you book: payment is due in full on the day. Cancellation or rescheduling is free up to and including exactly 24 hours before the session. With less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not attend, no amount is charged automatically. Reasonable compensation may only be requested for direct loss actually demonstrated, after deducting any savings and taking account of any rebooking of the slot. Cases of force majeure are considered individually.
  • Where does the session take place?
    Your session can take place at Hani Kanaftchian's studio in Uccle (Rue Vanderkindere 524), or outdoors in Brussels for an additional €100 incl. VAT. We choose the location together before the session.
  • Do you offer gift vouchers?
    Yes. Order your voucher on the Gift voucher page, then choose Essential Portrait · €290, Signature Portrait · €490 or The Experience · Studio & outdoors · €990. These titles are benchmarks of value; the recipient is free to choose their session. Payment is made via Stripe (card or Bancontact) and the personalized PDF generally arrives by email within a few minutes after confirmation. To use it, the beneficiary writes to me before booking indicating their code; I check the voucher and directly confirm the appointment and the amount applied. The online calendar does not automatically apply gift codes. The voucher is valid for 12 months; an extension can be granted on request before the deadline, subject to my agreement, for a maximum of 6 months. A consumer can in principle withdraw within 14 days, by simple email. After this period, the voucher is neither refundable nor convertible into cash, unless otherwise required. If it has already been used within 14 days, the consequences depend on the state of execution and the consents given; see the T&Cs.
  • Will I receive every shot or the RAW files?
    You receive the selected, retouched final photographs included in your chosen package. RAW files and unselected shots are not delivered. We make the final selection together at the studio within the session time. This is when you can choose any additional images and confirm their price.
  • Can we plan several looks for one session?
    Yes, we can plan several looks based on your references within the time allowed by your chosen package. Prepare your outfits in advance: changes, lighting adjustments and the final image selection are all part of the session. If your project involves many setups or a specific staging idea, contact me before booking so we can choose a suitable format.
  • What should I wear for a portrait session?
    Choose clothes you feel comfortable in and that suit the portrait style you have in mind. Simple fabrics and solid colours keep the focus on your face. Before the session, we discuss your ideas and the outfits included in your chosen package.
  • Personal portrait or professional headshot: which session should I choose?
    The packages on this page are for personal use: a keepsake, a gift, a private artistic project or non-commercial social media. For LinkedIn, a CV, your professional website or business communications, choose the corporate portrait service. Tell me how you plan to use the images so I can recommend the appropriate package and usage rights.
