The municipality describes Josaphat Park as 20 hectares of lawns, flowerbeds, ponds and recreational areas. For a family session, I recommend choosing a small part of it and leaving room for movement rather than trying to cover the whole park.
Avenue Louis Bertrand offers an urban alternative, with a view towards the park area and distinctive façades. It is an option for an individual portrait where the neighbourhood forms part of the image. Framing and timing are chosen to work around pedestrians and traffic.
These suggestions concern outdoor spaces. They do not include access to the interiors of Les Halles or Maison Autrique. Photography inside a cultural venue must be arranged with its management; my studio is in Uccle.

Which setting should we choose in Schaerbeek with children?
Josaphat Park is an option if you want a green background and room for movement. We choose an entrance and a short route suited to the children’s ages rather than planning to walk around all 20 hectares. -
Does a session in Schaerbeek include the interiors of cultural venues?
No. The suggestions presented here are for outdoor photography. Access for photography at Les Halles or Maison Autrique cannot be assumed: it must be arranged with the venue’s management. For an indoor portrait, I welcome you to my studio in Uccle. -
